Do people really think that knowledge can be managed?

On second thoughts, do people understand what “Knowledge” is?
Maybe it means a million different things to everyone of us..
for example to a carpenter, knowledge could be knowing how to make a chair, or knowing that he does NOT know how to make a chair..
knowledge may also mean different things to the same person at different times..
